Another Corona Positive Identified Ftom The Country

Another Corona virus positive had been reported from Polonnaruwa District this evening (22)increasing the number of corona positives reported from the country to 322.

The latest corona positive had been identfied whilst receiving treatment in Polonnaruwa General Hospital .Seven corona positives had been reported from the country today up to now .

11 Corona Positives Reported Today (22)-02 Others Recovered And Discharged

Eleven New corona virus positives had been identified and two other corona virus positives that have been fully recoverd had been discharged by 2 p.m today (22)according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona Virus positives identified from the country had risen to 321 today as 11 corona positives from Beruwala area in Kalutara District who are under quarantine at quarantine centers   had been tested positive  for the virus today .

All these positives are relatives of a recently identified corona positive in Beruwela according to reports .

Another two corona virus positives had been discharged from hospitals after fully recovered and the total number of positives so far recovered and dischatged from hospitals is now stands as 104 .

PCR Tests To Be Petformed On 300 Fish Businessmen Over A Corona Positive Who Had Met Them

PCR tests to identify Corona virus positives are due to be performed on  little more than 300 Fish businessmen at Central Fish Market Complex at Paliyagoda  today (22)as a fish vendor in Piliyandala who was tested positive for corona virus last Monday reported as visited the fish market few times .

The positive had also visited few houses to sell fish as well it has been reported.

Paliyagoda Fish Market has been closed for 03 days  days since yesterday  after the fish vendor that had been tested positive for the virus,  reported as visited the fish market few days .

Meanwhile PCR tests had been carried out yesterday (21) on  persons in Boralesgamuwa and an area  near Khettarama International Stadium due to the Corona virus positive found in Boralesgamuwa area had been in those areas .

113 Sri Lankan Students In Pakistan Had Been Brought Back To Sti Lanka Yesterday (21)-They Were Sent For Quarantine Soon After Their Arrival

113 Sri lankan students studying in Pakistan who were stranded in two Pakistan Airports  had been brought to Sri lanka in  a special Sri lankan Airlines flight yesterday (21).

Accordingly 93 students had been brought ftom Lahore international Airport and anothe 20 students brought from Karachchi International Airport .

Soon after their arrival they were sent to quarantine centers by 05 special buses for quarantine .

Another group of students  engaged   in higher studies in India is  scheduled to be brought back to Sri lanka according to rhe government .

1010 Persons In Keselwatte Area Sent To Army Quarantine Centers

Army had this morning (21) sent 1010 persons belonging to 242 families residing in Bandarnayake road ,Keselwatte,Colombo to quarantine centers after another five corona virus positieves had been identified within a group under self quarantine there .

Around 52 corona virus positives had been identified from Keselwatte area during last three days and close contacts they had with a corona positive female in Kotahena area caused this situation according to health authorities .

A group of 203 persons in Keselwatte also had been sent to quarantine centers last sunday .
