Updated-Government Is Considering To Open Closed Offices After Next Monday Step By Step

Government is currently considering
to  re-open.the offices in Government and private sectors which were closed down with the island wide cur due to the Corona virus spread ,step by step after next monday (20)according to sources .

However Governmemt has decided to lift curfew in 21 districts except Colombo ,Kalutara ,Gampaha and Puttalam districts  identified as high risk zones   as a first step according to sources .The five Districts remain under the curfew will be re-opened at the end of this month the sources have stated .

Therefore  Government had already instructed the transport ministry to run 5000 Sri lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses and 400 train journeys daily after 20 th .

All employees return to work should be provided with face masks and sanitisers according to the advise of health sector officials it has been announced .

However  government is considering to re open government and private sector offices with a limited number of workers per day it has been revealed .

Three Persons In Grandpass Who Had Close Contacts With A Corona Virus Positive Sent For Quarantine

Isipathanaramaya ,Grandpass (Colombo )who had close contacts with a corona positive son of the female who had been tested  positive for the virus  last Thursday (16)had been sent to quarantine by the police today (18).

The two sons and the husband of the Corona virus positive female had tested positive for the virus yesterday (17).One infected son of the female had visited the Shree ispathnatanaramaya area in Grandpass several times it has been revealed .

The female who had tested positive for the virus  whilst receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital was infected with the virus after returning from India .

A Female Political Activist Arrestrd Over Spreading Fake News On Corona Situation Has Been Granted Bail

Priyantha Liyanage had yesterday (17) ordered to release a female political activist arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)  over posting a fake post in her facebook account over corona virus ,on bail

Accordingly the Additional Magistrate has released the suspected female who was arrested by the CID on 15 th of April on surety bail.worth Rs.500,000.

The suspected female was arresred over publishing a fake post in her facebook account saying corona virus positives and those at quarantine centers are  being faced  food and drug shortage and there's no virus tests carried out to identify corona patients .

Updated -Six Corona Virus Positives Identified This Evening (17)- Nine Corona Virus Positives Discharged From Hospitals

Six  corona virus patients had been
identified this afternoon (17)after performing around 530 "PCR " Tests according to the Ministry of Health.

Three of these positives are women who are at the punani quarantine center it has been reported .Now the total number of corona virus positives in the country has been increased to 244.

Meanwhile nine Corona virus positives had been discharged from hospitals after fully recovered .Now the total number of Corona virus positives who were discharged from the hospitals stands as 77.
