Five New Corona Virus Cases And One Corona Dearh Had Been Reported From Sri Lanka Today (02)

Five new Corona Virus positives and

the fourth Corona positive Death had been reported from Sri Lanka today (02)according to Health Ministry.

Accordingly with the new Corona virus positives reported today the total number of Corona positives reported from the country has been increased to 151.

The fourth corona virus victim has died today  (02 ) at National Infectious Diseases Hospital at Angoda due to severe Neumonia he had suffered with Ministry has stated.

The victim was a 58 year old male it has been reported .Last night also a Corona Death has been reported .

Up to now 21 corona virus positives had recovered fully and discharged from Hospitals and around 126 corona virus positives are being treated at 03 Government Hospitals.

Another 251 corona virus suspected cases are being treated at 28 government Hospitals according to Epidemeology Unit.

Third Corona Virus Victim Here Suffered From Many Non Communicable Diseases -He Died Before Admission To IDH Hospital

The person who has died last night

(01)due to Corona virus had suffered from.Non communicable diseases like Diabetes, High Blood Preassure and prolonged Kidney failure according to the Health Ministry.

The 72 year old victim resided in a flat at Maradana ,Colombo had been admitted to Sri Jayawardanapura Teaching Hospital last evening in critical condition hiding his real status and through tests he had tested positive for Corona virus. However during his transfer to Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda he has died Hospital sources had revealed.

He was believed to be infected with the virus from his son in law who came from abroad recently the Ministry has stared.

Kalutara ,Colombo ,Gampaha And Puttalam Districts Identified As High Risk Zones For Spreading Corona Virus -Director General Of Health Services

Kaluthara ,Colombo ,Gampaha and

Puttalam Districts are being further identified as the high risk Zones of spreading the Corona virus epidemic in Sri Lanka according to the Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe.

As a result three Hospitals are being allocated for Kalutara ,Colombo and Gampaha Districts and a center for Puttalam Districts to provide treatment for corona virus suspected cases reported from these Districts under isolation he has stated .

Accordingly Minuwangoda Base Hospital has been allocated for Gampaha District, Beruwala District Hospital for Kalutara District and Homagama Base Hospital for Colombo District has been allocated treating these suspected cases. The voice of America facility in Iranawila  is scheduled to be allocated for Puttalam District for treating suspected cases within two days time according to Dr.Jasinghe.

A separate quarantine center for quarantine corona virus suspected cases is being established in Homagama area he has further stated .
