Police Have Arrested 1589 Persons Over Violating Curfew And 15 Over Violating Rules After Lifting Curfew
Police have arrested 1589 persons over
violating the curfew and 15 persons this morning (23)over violating quarantine rules issued by the government to be followed after lifting the curfew .
Accordingly Police stations island wide had been arrested 1589 persons over violating the curfew rules from 6 p.m on Friday (20) upto 10 p.m on Yesterday (22)it has been announced .These people were arrested mainly over staying in public places unnecessarily during curfew hours .
Police have also taken in to custody 362 vehicles including three Wheeler and Motorcycles which were used during the curfew .

Four prison inmates attached to Galle
prison had been admitted to the ward allocated for Corona virus suspected patients at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital today (22)according to Hospital sources.
These persons had been admitted to the Hospital with Corona Virus infection symptoms fever and soar throat it has been revealed. One of the patients was closely associated with tourist guides according to the sources .

-19)positives had been added today (22)to the total number of Corona virus positives identified in Sri Lanka increasing the total to 82 according to the Health Ministry .
Accordingly a person admitted to Colombo National Hospital ,A person close to Jaffna Priest ,A person arrived from Italy and admitted to a Quarantine center and a Tourist guide arrived from Britain had been tested positive for Corona virus today.
Two out of the 82 Corona virus positives identified in Sri Lanka had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)of the National Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda under critical condition Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe has stated .
Meanwhile 222 Corona virus suspected cases are being treated at 18 Government Hospitals by noon today according to the Epidemeology Unit. Out of this number 217 are locals and 05 are foreign Nationals.
69 percent of the Corona positives in Sri Lanka are males and 31 percent are females the unit has stressed .
