Validity Period Of Expired Driving Licences To Be Extended

The Validity period of All driving

licences which expired from 16th of March to 15 th of April will be extended to 30 th of May according to the Motor Traffic Department.

This decision has been taken due to the prevailing situation of the country.

Validity Period Of Visas Issued To Foreign Tourists In The Country To Be Extended

The Validity period of All types of Visas issued to foreign

tourists who are currently in Sri Lanka to be extended for a 30 day period as Sri Lanka is limited activities in many sectors to prevent the spreading of Corona Virus according to the Immigration and Emigration Department.

Accordingly The visas of foreign tourists will be extended from 14 th of March to 12 th of April it has been announced .

Those who want to get their visas extended need to go to the visa section of Immigration and Emigration Department at the "Sethsiripaya" "building, Battaramulla on either 08th or 09 th of April after paying visa fees .

Those who are planning to leave the country can pay the extended visa fees to the Katunayake International Airport before their departure the immigration and Emigration Controller has stated.

Total Number Of Corona Virus Positives Identified In Sri Lanka Arisen To 44

The total number of Corona virus

positives reported from Sri Lanka had been risen by 15 today (17)from 29 to 44 patients according to the Health Ministry sources.

Among these newly identified Corona virus patients the wife of the Second Sri Lankan Corona virus positive identified here who is a Tourist guide ,A 25 year old residents of Udugampala who had returned from Qatar, two persons residing in Kelaniya and Marawila and a relative of a Sri Lanka corona virus positive visited Germany.

Most of these patients are being treated at Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda according to Ministry.
