Ten New Corona Virus Cases Identified In Sri Lanka-Total Number Increases To 29

A total number of 10 Corona virus

positives including a 13 year old girl ,A 73  old male and first officer of the Sri Lankan Airlines had been identified today (16)increasing the total number of Corona virus positives reported from Sri Lanka so far  to 29 according to Epidemeology  Unit.

Accordingly most of these Corona virus positives identified in.Sri Lanka today are returnees from Italy and their relatives .

The 73 year old person had been identified whilst receiving treatment at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and the first officer of the Sri lankan Airlines had been identified and admitted to Angoda National Infectious Diseases Hospital .

Meamwhile around 212 corona virus suspected cases are being treated in 16 government Hospitals including Infectious Diseasses Hospital by this morning .

Hot Water Wells Premises In Trincomalee And Pigeon Island Closed Down

Popular Tourist attraction Natural Hot Water wells premises in Kanniya,  Trincomalee has been  closed down since yesterday (15)to avoid spreading of Corona virus here .

The famous pigeons Island (Parevi Dupatha )has been also closed down for 14 days with effect from yesterday  (15) in this regard.

Meanwhile authorities have closed down Zoological amd botanical gardens in the country too to avoid spreading of Corona virus .
