A Motor Car Had Suddenly Caught Fire At Ward Place ,Colombo

A Motor Car travelling towards Borella

had suddenly caught fire this noon (04)at Kynsey Road junction in Ward Place, Colombo according to the Cinnamon Garden Police.

Fire brigade in Colombo along with Police officers had doused the fire.

No one was hurt due to the incident and the cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.

Cinnamon Garden Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.

Ministry Of Health Has Allocated The Leprosy Hospital In Handala To A Corona Virus Quarantine Center

Ministry of Health has today

(04)announced that the Leprosy Hospital in Handala will be converted to a Quarantine center to quarantine all the Passangers arriving in Sri Lanka from Corona Virus hit Italy ,South Korea and Iran ,for 14 day period.

Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe has made this move according to the powers vested with him .

The assistance of Sri Lanka Army will be taken to convert the Leprosy Hospital building to a Quarantine center Dr.Jasinghe has stressed.

All the facilities will be provided for those who are undergoing quarantine process Health Ministry Has announced.

Eleven Indian Nationals Had Been Arrested Whilst Working At A Gold Shop

Department and Intelligance unit officials had today (04)arrested 11 Indian Nationals who are staying in Sri Lanka illegally with expired visas at Kaththankudy in Batticaloa District .

The suspects who are of the ages 23-45 had been worked in Gold Making shops in Kaththankudy at the time of their arrest it has been revealed .

The suspects had arrived in Sri Lanka with Tourist visas and their visas had expired recently it had been reported .They were later sent to the Mirihana Detention centre for further investigations .
