A 4 Hour Water Cut To Be Implemented In Colombo -10,11 And 12 Tonight (22)

A 4 hour water cut is scheduled to be

implemented in Colombo -10,11 and 12 Due to an urgent repair work of a water pump according to the National Water Supplies And Drainage Board .

The Water to the Colombo -13 area will be supplied under low pressure during this water cut the Board has stressed.

Interdicted High Court Judge Pilapitiya Had Received a Court Order To Preventing His Arrest

Court of Appeal (20)preventing the

arrest of interdicted Embilipitiya High Court Judge Gihan piliapitiya without obtaining a court order from a Magistrate .

Earlier High Court Judge Pilapitiya who was interdicted from service over the charges of involving in telephone conversations with UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake on judicial matters ,had filed a writ application before Court of Appeal requesting to issue an interim injunction order to prevent his arrest.

Government Has Suspended The Gazette Notification Issued On Forming Sainthamaruthu Urban Council

Government has last wednesday(19)

temporarily suspended the Gazette Notification issued to establish a separate Urban Council for Sainthamaruthu area belonging to Kalmunai Municipal council at present with effect from this March .

Cabinet has decided to temporarily suspend the Gazette Notification which was issued last Saturday (15) by the Ministry of Provincial Council amidst opposition from some sectors.

According to the government the Gazette Notification has been issued according to the amendments made to the boundary lines of Kalmunai Municipal council .The Gazette had been temporarily suspended in view of revising all local.government bodies government has stressed.
