Sri Lanka Donated 600 KG Of Black Tea To China

Sri Lankan government has decided to
donate 600 Kilo Grammes of home grown Black tea for the residents of Wuhan ,China who are battling against corona virus as a friendly gesture according to the Tea Board

A part of this donation had been
Handed over to the Chinese Ambassador in Colombo by president Gotabaya Rajapakshe recently and the rest will be distributed among the residents of Wuhan through the Sri Lankan Embassy in Beijing, China the Board has stressed .

Several.Trade Unions Staged Protests At The Allocated Area Near Presidential Secretariet Causing Heavy Traffic In Many Roads

As an agitation area is being allocated
in front of the Presidential secretariet   for protests,several trade unions had staged protests today (10)in the area causing  heavy traffic in surrounding roads it has been reported .

Due to these protests one lane of the road between Galle Face grounds to Colombo Fort in front of the Secretariet  had been  closed and motorists were advised to.use an alternative routes .

Trade unions attached to Railways Department, Cultural Department, Unemployed graduates and project assistants of National  Housing Authority had staged protests in the allocated area demanding solutions for their service demands

Social.Media Rumours On Finding Another Corona Virus Patient In Sri Lanka Are False -Epidemeology Unit

There's no truth in the rumours
spreading In through the social media sites that another confirmed corona virus infected person had been identified from Sri Lanka according to the Director of Epidemeology Unit Dr.Sudath Samaraweera.

A female worker attached to Katunayake International Airport had been admitted today (10) to the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH)in Angoda on suspicion of infecting the virus, However she was discharged from the hospital later as it proves she is not infected with Corona Virus Dr.Samaraweera has stressed.

Only the Chinese female identified three weeks ago as infected with Corona Virus found in Sri Lanka as a corona virus postitive   He had been stated.

Meamwhile a consultant attached to IDH Hospital had severely criticized  the behaviour of social media on sp reading such rumours and said they have fallen to such a low status to spread rumours like this .

Meanwhile around 15 Corona virus suspected patients are being currently receiving treatment at IDH and other government Hospitals it has  been revealed .
