Chinese Embassy Appealed Locals Not To Mistreat Chinese Nationals In Sri Lanka

Chinese Embassy in Colombo had
today(2) appealed Sri Lankans not to refuse Chinese Nationals working here based on  false rumours spreading in on Corona Virus and treat them normal as usual .

Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Cheng Xueyuan  had stated through a press release issued today that there are reports that some persons in the country had neglected Chinese Nationals due to the false news spreading in regarding  Corona virus outbreak  in China.

Embassy had already informed the Chinese Nationals living in Hubei Province ,China where the Corona virus is spreading rapidly to cancel their planned visits to Sri Lanka temporarily and Chinese Nationals in other parts of China to undergo a 14 day quarantine process before coming here according to the release .

"We are in Chinese Embassy will understand the situation Sri Lankans in at this stage and Hope Sri Lankans too understand our situation .We will defeat the Corona virus epidemic soon and hope Sri. Lankan officials too adapted safety measures to avoid corona virus spreading here. We have received complaints that some hotels ,Cafes and taxi drivers refused to offer services to Chinese Nationals here due to Corona virus epidemic .so many Sri Lankans friends offer their support to Chinese embassy officials during this crisis"Ambassador stated.

Chinese Ambassador had also stressed that Embassy had given its fullest Corporation to Sri Lankan government to bring back stranded Sri Lsnkan students in Wuhan. "Real friendship should be there during hard and challenging periods "he has further added .

Two persons Arrested With 1.10 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin In Their Possession

Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials
had arrested two persons whilst transporting 1.10 Kilo Grammes of Heroin from a Motorcycle car at Kurunagala today (02).

The two suspects who are of the ages 42 and 45 years old residing in Thanayama Road ,Mahawa and Kaikawala ,Matale respectively are currently being questioned under a six day detention order obtained from the court according to the Police Anti Narcotic Bureau .

The Bureau officials are investigating on those persons who had contacted Ted the suspects through analysing telephone data records it has been reported . 

Due To A Sunken Area A Section Of The Road Between Dickmon Junction To Havelock Road Had Closed

The entry road between  Dickmon
Junction to Havelock Road of Lester James Pieris Mawatha (Road ) ,Bambalapitiya   had been temporarily closed down  from this evening (02)  due to a sunken area of the road  according to Police Media Division .

Due to this situation motorists are being advised to use an alternative routes for travel.Those who are travelling in Havelock Road cannot turn to Dickmon road .
,However from Dickmon road can travel towards  Galle road it has been revealed .
