First Corona Virus Infected Person At IDH Hospital Is Now Fully Recovered -Director General Of Health Services

The first Corona Virus infected patient

found in Sri Lanka who is a 43 year old Chinese female had now fully recovered from the infection according to the Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe .

Addressing a Media briefing held today  (01)at the Health Ministry Dr.Jasinghe has stressed that the  Chinese female who is currently in isolation at Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH)in Angoda can be discharged from the hospital anytime.

During the tests it has been revealed that neither her husband or the persons she had interacted at hotels during her stay in Sri Lanka are infected with Corona Virus .

Meanwhile according to the IDH Hospital sources all 16 corona virus suspected persons currently isolated in the hospital had found as not infected with the virus.

Sri lanka's first Corona virus patient has been  identified on last Monday (27)and since then no corona virus positive person has been found in the country.

A Stock Of Kerala Cannabis Recovered Whilst Floating In The Sea

Sri Lanka Navy had Today(01)recovered   97.2 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis whilst floating in the sea  area of Myladi in Jaffna during a mobile patrol inspection held in the area .

Accordingly  the Navy officers had been recovered few parcels containing Kerala Cannabis  whilst floating in sea.

No one was arrested regarding the incident .

The stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody had been handed over to the Special Police Task Force personal in Jaffna for further investigations .

Thirty Three Sri Lankans Evacuated From Wuhan Are Currently In Quarantine Process Regarding Corona Virus

The 33 Sri Lankans including students

and their relatives evacuated from Wuhan City ,China had been brought to Army Hospital in Diyathalawa this morning (01)for a 14 day quarantine process.

Earlier the special Sri Lankan Airlines   Plane carrying  this group of Sri Lankans had arrived in Mattala International Airport from Wuhan and they had undergone a medical checkup for corona virus at the Airport.

Then they were transported from.a special Bus to quarantine center at Diyathalawa Army Base for quarantine.

Sri Lanka Army had built two buildings attached to quarantine center with sanitation facilities within few days for the use of the Sri Lankan group brought here .

All the facilities are being provided for  these Sri lankans who are undergoing quarantine process for corona virus Army has announced.

Meanwhile four small children in the group are allowed to stay with their parents during the quarantine process Army has stressed.

Sri Lanka is  among the few countries that taken steps to evacuate it's citizens in Wuhan where the New Corona virus is spreading rapidly .

United States Of America, Japan ,Germany, India and United Kingdom. Were among other countries evacuated their citizens from Wuhan.

Immigration And Emigration Department Instructed To Restrict Movement's Of Chinese Employees In Worksites

The immigration and Emigration

Department has advised the supervisors of  the construction sites to restrict the movements of their Chinese employees to the work sites and logging areas .

This restriction  will also apply fur Chinese workers who had recently visited China The Department has stated.

This step has been taken to prevent the spreading of Corona Virus in the country.
