Three Youth Drowned Whilst Bathing

Three youth including two males and a

female of the ages 17-21 had been drowned whilst bathing in a sea area of Kammalawella ,Wennappuwa this evening (11) .

Two of them including a male and a female had been rescued by the residents of the area and admitted to Dankotuwa hospital where they have pronounced as dead .

Other youth is still missing and search operation is underway to find him it has been revealed .

The deceased were residents of Makandura and Sandalankawa areas .The incident occurred when the youth who were on picnic had been drifted away by sea waves whilst bathing .

A 24 Hour Long Watet Cut To Be Implemented In Kelaniya /Wattala/Mabole UC And Kelaniya /Biyagama PS Areas On Momday

Another 24 hour long water cut is

scheduled to be implemented in several areas belonging to Kelaniya ,Wattala and Mabole urban councils and Kelaniya and Biyagama Pradesheeya Sabhas from 8 a.m on next Monday (13)to 8 a.m on Tuesday (14) accordance to National Water supplies and drainage board .

This water cut will be implemented due to an essential construction  work at the second phase of the Kelaniya River Bank water project the Water Board has announced .
