Colombo Additional.Magistrate Postponed The Hearing Of MP Dr.Senaratne 's Bail Application Untill 30 th
Colombo Magistrate Court has
postponed the hearing of the revised bail application submitted by United National Party(UNP) MP Dr.Rajitha Senaratne by requesting to grant him bail beforr arresting him over a media briefing held on white van abductions before the presidential elections ,until 30 th of December.
Dr.Senaratne has submitted the revised bail application last friday after rejecting his first bail application .He had argued that CID is attempting to arrest him over the media briefing held on White van abductions .
The Addtional Colombo Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage had today taken up for hearing the revised bail application of Dr.Senaratne .

Court Has Imposed A Foreign Travel Ban On UNP MP Dr.Rajitha Senaratne

Priyantha Liyanage has today (23)imposed a forrign travel ban on former Health Minister United National Party MP Dr.Rajitha Senaratne after considering a Motion submitted by Criminal Investigations Department (CID )on his involvment of the media briefing held regarding white van abductions during Rajapakshe Regime prior to the Presidential Election .
Accordingly the additional magistrate has ordered the Immigration Emigration Controller to impose the travel ban on Dr.Senaratne.
CID has submitted a motion stating MP Dr.Senaratne had imvolved in organizing the media briefing on white van abductions based on.the statements given by two persons who are currently in remand over revealing on white van abductions during the briefing .
If Dr.Senaratne has attempting to leave the country it will be obstructed the ongoing investigations on the media briefing held to reveal white van abductions CID has stressed.Therefore CID requested the Magistrate to Impose a foreign travel ban on Dr.Senaratne.

Four Persons Including Three Indians Had Been Killes And Two Hospitalized Due To Van-Container Truck Collision
Four persons including three Indian Nationals and their Sri Lankan driver had been killed and two other Indians had been critically injured and hospitalized when the Van they were travelling in colliding with the rear side of a container truck at the 62nd kilo meter post near the kurundugahahathapma interchange between Kurundugahahathapma and Welipanna areas of the Southrn Expressway this evening (23).
Four of the critically injured persons had succumbed to their injuries after admission to Nagaoda Hospital in Kalutara and Elpitiya Hospitals for treatment .A female was among the dead according to Police .
