Badulla-Passara Road Had Been Closed Due To Soil Mound Collapse
Badulla-passara Road had been closed
down upto Lunugala since 6 p.m last evening due to a collapsing of Soil mounds and rocks to the road the Road Development Authority has announced .
Due to the adverse weather condition prevailing in the area rocks and soil mounds had been collapsed to the road since last wednesday and as a result road had been closed time to time on that day .
Motorists are being advised to use an alternative routes for travelling .

All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association To Reduce Prices Of Bakery Products Except Bread
All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association
has decided to reduce all Bakery products including Fish Buns and Buns except Bread by Rs.5 as a result of the reduction of Value added Tax(VAT) and removal of Nation Building Tax by the government according to the president of the Association A.r Jayiuawardane.
Even a Kilo of Cake will be reduced by Rs.50 per kilo he has srressed.

Teaching Science Faculties To Be Converted To Universty Faculties
Cabinet has given approval to convert
all Teaching Science faculties mk in the Island to University faculties according to the Cabinet Spokesman Higher Education Minister Bandula Gunawardana .
Education Minister Dallas Alahapperuma had submitted the proposal on converting Teaching science faculties to University Faculties in.view of providing degree education facilities for children.
Cabinet hss also approved a proposal submitted regarding appointing of a consultant committee to implement this programme Cabinet Spokesman has sressed.
