Around 25 Familes Removed From Their Houses In Haldummulla

Around 80 members belonging to 25
families residing in Line houses at Punagala,Ampitikanda in Haldummulla Provincial secretariet had been removed today (30)due to a severe landslide threat in the area .

The removed familes are being resided ar a Tea factory in Punagala area .

Due to the heavy showers prevailed in this noon rocks and soil moumds located above the line houses had fallen to the houses and as a result the residents of the line houses had been removed according to the Disaster Management center in Hsldummulla area .

      Many direct flights to europe had been stopped  due to the loss incurred by Sri Lankan Airlines flights .


      Three Member Supreme Court Judge Panel Examine Case Against Royal Park Murder Case Accused Ordered Former President Sirisena To Appear Before Court

      The three member Supreme Court
      Judge Panel which issued an interim order yesterday (29) against Royal Park murderer Jude Shramantha Anthoney Jayamaha preventing him from going  abroad until 10 th of December had also ordered former President Maithripala Sirisena to appear before the court at the next hearing of the case against presidential pardon to the killer  scheduled for 10 th of December.

      Former President has been  asked to appear before the court, as requested   by the Lawyers  appeared behalf of The petitioner of the case filed against Royal park nurderer "Women's media collective .

      Lawyers of the petitioner had argued when the case taken up for hearing yesterday before the tribunal Supreme Court Judge panel that although the President has powet to pardon a prisoner former president sirisena has pardoned the accused of Royal Park murder by violating the constitution .

      Women's Media Collective has filed the case earlier this month against the presidential pardon given to the Royal Park murderer by requesting to issue a court order to arrest and remand him .





      Swiss Embassy In Colombo Provided Information To CID To Probe Over The Abduction Of It"s Visa Officer

      Officials of Switzerland Embassy in
      Colombo have been provided the information to Criminal Investigations Deparrtment (CID) yesterday(29) regarding the abduction of  female  Visa  officer atttached to the embassy by a group of persons arrived in from a white van and threatening  her last Monday evening(25) it has been reported .

      A group of unidentified persons abducted the Visa officer who is a Sri Lankan female last Monday evening whilst on the way her home after work according to sources.The abductors have threatened the Swiss Embassy Visa officer in the Van and questiomed her on how the Swiss Embassy issued visas to CID Inspector Nishantha De Silva and Family to fllying   to Switzerland .

      Later she was released and Swiss embassy officials had complaint on the incident Police.

      Howeve Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe has yesterdsy told that the government is comducting an inquiry over the incident tbrough the CID although Swiss Embassy visa officer had not complaint on the incident to Police .Prime Minister had also requested the assistance of The victim to carrying out the investigations .

      CID officers along with Police CCTV Division are currently investigating over the abduction incidemt with the help of CCTV Footages Police Headquarters have announced .

      The abductors have told the Swiss Embassy visa officer after the abduction  that they are from CID to misguide the victim Police headquarters have stated .

      Soon.after the incident Switzerland's Ambassador to Sri Lanka had summoned the Foreign Affairs Minister Dinesh Gunawardane over the incident .
