Police Media Spokesman's Office Had Been Closed

Police Media Spokesman's office in

Colombo had been closed Down last wednesday  (27)by the interim government and national Police commission has approved it .

The Telephone numbers of the Police Media Spokesman's office and the Media Spokeman became dead since last Wednesday .

Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara had been recruited as the Durector of Police Legal Division National Police Commission has stated .

The post of Police Media Spokesman had created in 2014 and in 2015 the post had  becomes  permanant .

However government has announced that  all the information  related to Police will be announced through the Media division attached to Ministry of Defense .



Three Deputy Ministers Appointed Yesterday (27)Had Been Promoted To State Ministers Hours Later

Three Deputy Ministers Who had
sworn in their posts last morning had been promoted as State Ministers  few hours later it has been reported.

Accordingly Nimal Lansa who had sworn in as a Deputy Minister later appointed as State Minister of Social Empowerment ,Indika Anurada had been appointed as State Minister of Housing and Kanchana Wijesekare had been appointed as Stste Minister of Tea Development

All three Deputy Ministers had later sworn in as State Ministers before President Gotabaya Rajapakshe .

With these three new appointments number of State Ministers appointed so far had been increased to 38.No Deputy Ministers had been appointed up to.now .

Swiss condemn 'attack' on Sri Lanka embassy worker

President Gotabaya Rajapakshe To Visit India Today (28)

President Gotabaya Rajapakshe is due
to leave India today(28)for a two day official tour accordance to a special invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi .

During the visit the first after being elected as Sri Lankan President ,President Rajapskshe is due to meet Indian Premier Modi,President Ram kanth Kovind and several higher politicians of the Indian government and hold bi lareral talks .

President Rajapakshe will be accompanied by a ten member delegation including Presidential Secretary  Dr.P.B Jayasundara ,Treassury Secretary Dr.S.Atygala ,Defense Secretary Kamal Gunaratne and Presidential Advisor Lalith Weerathinge for the visit.
