Private Companies Handlng Cleaning Work In Colombo To Begin Work From 5.30 A.M Daily From Tomorrow(25)

Police have instructed janitors attached
to two private  companies handling cleaning work in Colombo to begin cleaning the city at 5.30 a.m daily and maintain the cleanliness round the clock daily from tomorrow (25)under the orders of President Gotabaya RaJapakshe .

Police Enviornment divison had called all the managers of the two private companies handling cleaning work in Colombo  for a meeting to discuss the plan of commencing cleaning work under the new plan .

Meanwhile all enviornmental Units of police stations to  be reconstructed it has been announced.  Police Enviornmental Division has decided to inspect the areas where
emviornmental  damage has been done

Defense Stone Barriers And Fence Put Up To Prevent Rocks Falling In To The Ella-Wellawaya Road

Road Development Authority (RDA)had
put up  Defense stone barriers and fence to prevent landslides and falling of rocks to the Ella-Wellawaya Road according to reports.

A large number of rocks fallen to the Ella-Wellawaya road had been removed recently by the Road Development Authority .However there are threats of falling rocks again to the road according to National Building Research Organization.

There's a threat of falling rocks to the Ella-Wellawaya Road from 700 Feet above the Ella rock located between 24 th and 25 th Kilo meter posrs in Ravana Falls sanctuary according to officials .

The road is currently opened for transport activities ,However authorities have advised the motorists to be vigilant over further rock falls .

Two Drug Smugglers Had Been Arrested With Stocks Of Madana Modaka And Kerala Cannabies

Command along with Trincomalee District Police Anti Corruption Unit had arrested two drug smugglers with 506 narcotic pills(Madana Modaka ) and 65 Grammes of Kerala Cannabis respectively during a joint Search operation carried out in Trincomalee District yesterday (23).

Accordingly A 31 year old shop owner had been arrested with 506 narcotic pills hidden in his shop at Trincomalee area and during the search mission another 31 year old person had been arrested whilst transporting 65 Grammes of Kerala cannabies in a Three wheeler it has been revealed.Both suspects are residents of Trincomalee district.

The investigations regarding the suspects along with the Three wheeler and stock of narcotics taken in to custody will be  handled by the Police Anti Corruption Unit in Trincomalee District   .

Police Inspector Nishantha Silva Who Had Investigated Top Cases Suddenly Left Switzerland

who is the OIC of Criminal and Group Group Robbery Investigations Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and investigate several top criminal cases under former Director of CID Shani Abeysekare had left the country this noon(24) to Switzerland with his three children and wife due to threats it has been reported.

Police Inspector Nishantha De Silva who had investigated several top cases including abduction and disappearence of 11 youths ,Lasantha Wikramathunge Murder case,Vidya murder case in Jaffna , Seya sadewmi Murder case ,D.A Rajapakshe Memorial case and Case on killing Welikada Prisoners under Former CID Director Shani Abeysekare was transferred to Negambo police division by the former President Maitripala sirisena on 18 th of November 2018 ,However the transfer was cancelled by the National Police Commission then .

Meanwhile Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare has told the media today that the OIC Nishsntha De Silva left the country without getting permission from the police department .
