Gotabaya Rajapakshe To Be Sworn In As President Tomorrow(18)

Rajapakshe is scheduled to be sworn in tomorrow (18) at Anuradhapura it has been revealed.
The chairman of the Natuonal Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya has declared Gotabaya Rajapakshe as new president at a meeting held in National Election Commission office at Rajagiriya this evening.
Meanwhile Prime Mimister Ranil Wikramasinghe is scheduled to be comvemed a special cabinet meeting this evening to discuss the situation . it has been reported.

Samaraweera and Non Cabinet Minister of Digital Infrastructute Ajith .P.Perera who had led the National Democratic Front Presidential Candidste Sajith Premadasa's Election Campaign had resigned from their Ministerial posts today (17).
Minister Samaraweera had sent his resignation letter to the outgoing president Maithripsla Sirisena today before announcing the final results of presidential Election.
Earlier Sports Minister Harin Fernando had resigned from his Ministereal post and all posts he held in the United National Party.

National Party (UNP ) And presidential candidate of the National Democratic Front ,Sajith Premadasa had resigned from the deputy leader post of his party by accepting the defeat of the Election before annoucing the final result .
MP. Premadasa has thanked all those who had voted for him in the presidential election and those who have supported his election campaign .He has also stated that he will notify in future how he plans to engage in future political activities .
