Fifty Vehicles Parked At Presidents Security Division Car Park Destroyed Due To A Fire

Fifty vehicles parked at the car park of

President's Security Division (PSD) at Mudalige Road in Colombo Fort including fourty seven Motorcycles and a Three wheeler had been destroyed due to a sudden fire occured in the car park last Sunday night (10)it has been reported .

Three Motorcycles belonging to the Police Officers were among those Vehicles that destroyed due to the fire according to reports .

The cause behind the fire has not yet been revealed.

Colombo Fort police have conducted preliminary investigations on the incident and further investigations on the fire had been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) according to the Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .

Prisoners Rights Protection Committee To Get Opinions Of All Presidential Candidates Regarding The Presidential Pardon Given To The Royal Park Killer

Prisoners Rights Protection Committee

has decided to request opinion of All the presidential candidates who are contesting the forthcoming Presidential Election regarding the presidential pardon given to the accused Shramantha Jude Anthoney Jayamaha who was in the aldeath row over killing a 19 year old Swedish National Yvonne Jonnson at Royal park Luxary Housing Scheme in Rajagiriya ,Colombo ,in writing .

According to the chairman of the Prisoners Rights Protection Committee Attorney At Law Sennaka Perera His committe is condemning the decision taken by the President to release Royal Park murderer on Presidential pardon severely as several problems related to Penetration and justice of the system of granting Presidential pardon to accused of a murder case had arisen in this case .

Presidential pardon can be given to the persons in death row when there are legal errors of a court case not like this he has stressed.

Prisoners Rights Protection Committee is scheduled to conduct a protest campaign in front of the Welikada Prison against the presidenial pardon given to Royal Park killer today (12).

President's Media Unit Attempted To Justify The President's Pardon Given To Royal Park Killer -Issued A Statement Saying Religious Leaders And Civil Organizations Recommended President To Release The Killer

President's Media Unit has issued a

statement today (11)to justify the decision taken by President Maithripala Sirisena to grant president"s pardon to the Royal Park killer Shramantha Jude Anthoney Jayamaha and stated president has decided to grant pardon to the accused accordance to the requests made by reliegious leaders including Athuraliye Rathana Thero and Baddegama Samitha Thero and few Civil organizations .

Religious Leaders And Civil Organizations have demanded
The president to release Royal Park killer as he had completed an external degree whilst in the prison and been there in good rapport the Media Unit has stressed .

President's Media Unit also said that Royal Park killer killed the innocent victim not putposely but due to sudden anger which was clearly against what the Judicary revealed when sentenced the accused to death.

Meanwhile one of the media websites had today reported that the President had given presidential pardon to the accused Jayamaha who had killed a 19 year old Swedish national Yvonne Jonsson in 2005 accordance to a recommendation made by a former leader who is a blood relative of one of the presidential candidates ccontesting for this years presidential election based on a financial deal .

A Group Of Prisoners At Welikada ,Bussa And AgunakolPalassa Prisons Demanding Presidential Pardon For Them Also As Given To The Royal Park Murderer

A Tense situation has arisen among

prisoners in Welikada ,Bussa and Agunakola pallessa Prisons today (11)after two prison inmates in Welikada prison had begun a protest campaign on the roof of the Prison building demanding to release them also as the Royal Park murderer Shramantha Jude Anthoney Jayamaha who had received the presidential pardon and left the kuruwita prison last Saturday .

A group.of prisoners in "L" hall of the Welikada prision along with prisoners on death row at Chappel hall of the prison had supported the protest by skipping their lumch and dinner today (11).

The protesting prisoners had not taken their lunch and dinner.today it has been reported .
