A Valid ID To Be Produced Before Casting Postal Votes Of The Presidential Election.
Government Employees who are
eligible to cast postal votes during this year's presidential election need to produce a valid identity card before casting their vote the National Election Commission has announced today (22).
Accordingly Those who are eligible to cast postal votes should be produced the National Identity card,Driving License ,Passport or the temporary Identity card issued by the Election commiasion
Postal voting is due to be held on 31 st of October and 01st of November .Those who are attached to Divistional Secretariets and Police stations can cast their postal votes on 04 th and 05 th of November and those who are not able to cast their vote during those days will be able to do so on 07 th of November according to the Commission .

Due to this situation people living in and around The banks of the Kalu River should be vigilant over possible floods the Department has warned .
However the water levels of Kelaniya River and Attanagalu Oya (River) which had risen since this morning are being receded at the moment it has been revealed .
A minor flood situation is being reported in Dunamale area of Attanagalu Oya this morning .
The highest rain fall of 135.5 mili meters has been received by Dehiowita area in.Kegalle during last 24 hours .
