A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To Motorcycle -Tractor Collision
A 79 year old Motorcyclist had been
killed after the Motorcycle he was travelling in colliding with the rear part of a Tractor travelling from Mankulam to Jaffna near the 241st mile post at Mankulam in Kandy -Jaffna main road last friday (18).
The critically injured Motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Kilinochchi District Hospital it has been revealed .

A Person Was Arrested Whilst TransportiĆg 400 LIquor Bottles Illegally
Police officers attached to Northern District Crimes Division of Western Province have last friday (18)arrested a 29 year old person whilst transporting 400 Liquor bottles illlegally in a Three wheeler at paliyagoda area .
The suspect is a resident of Ja'-Ela area and he is due to be produced before Hulftsdorf magistrate court .

19 Tea Estate Wotkers Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Wasp Attack
19 Tea Estate workers attached to the
Chapalton area of a Tea Estate in Bagawanthalawa had been injured and admitted to the Bagawanthalawa Provincial Hospital this evening (19)due to a wasp attack whilst plucking tea leaves it has been reported .
The injured Estate workers including 16 female and 03 male workers had been admitted to the Bagawanthalawa Provincial Hospital for treatment .
The incident occurred after the wasps in a nest at a tea plant provoked due to an assault of an Eagle .

Transport Activities In Balangoda -Pinnawala Road Disrupted Due To Soil Mound And Rock Falls
Transport activities of Pinnawala area
in Balangoda -Hatton main road had been dirupted for hours today (19)affer collapsing of a soil mound and topplimg over of rocks to the road following heavy showers prevailed in.the area.
Pinnawala police along with workers attached to the Road Development Authority ,Imbulpe Divisional Secretariet and Imbulpe Pradesheeya Sabha had removed the soil moumd and rocks fallen in to the road through backo machine ,However again soil moumd collapsed along with rocks to the road affer heavy showers prevailing in the area .
Authorities have warned the resudents of the area on more soil mound and rock falls .
