A Mother And Daughter Had Been Arrested With 2.500 KG Of Ice Narcotic

A 68 year old mother and her daughter
arrived in from Chennai ,India had been arrested by Airport Customs officers with 2.500 Kilo Grammes of "Ice " narcotic in their possesion  at Katunayake International Airport today (08).

The suspects who are involved in textile business by selling textiles purchase from India here had brought the narcotic stored in two.boxes placed between fans inside the textiles it has been revealed .

A Person Was Shot And Killed At Jampatah Street

A 24 year old person had been shot and
killed by an unidentified gunman arrived in a Motorcycle this evening (08)at Jampatah Street in Colombo -13 .

Critically injured victim had succumbed to his injuries whilst admitting to the Colombo National Hospital  it has been revealed .

The deceased had been identified as Menon Suriyakanth a resident of Jampatah Street ,Colombo -13.

Coastal police are conducting an investigations over the incident .

A Section Of The Road In Balangoda Had Sunk

A section of the Road near the 144 th
kilo meter post at  Badulla-Kirindigala area of Colombo -Badulla Road had sunk today (08)as a result of the heavy showers prevailed in Balangoda area .

As a result a crater around eight feet had been created in the sunken area it has been revealed .Transport activities of the road is being disrupted due to the incident .
