Railway Trade Unions Ended Their Strike
Railway Trade Unions have ended their two week old strike today
(07)following the discussions held between President Maithripala Sirisena and Railway Trade Union representatives at President's official residence in Colombo this morning
During the talks president has stressed the responibility of the Trade unions not to cause inconvenience to the public during trade union actions .
commuters had faced enormous difficulties during the Railway strike which launched by five catagories of Railway workers including Engine Drivers demanding solutions for their salary anomalies .

Thirty Five Out Of Fourty One Candidates Deposited Money For Presidential Election Had Handed Over Nominations -Two Objections Not Accepted
Thirty five out of fourty one
presidential candidates who had been deposited money at National Election Commission in Rajagiriya to contest for the Forthcoming presidential election had handed over nominations this morning (07)for the election .
Six candidates deposited money earlier for the election including former speaker Chamal Rajapakshe and former Minister Kumar Welgama had withdrawn the race announcing they will not hand over the nominations .
A time period between 9 a.m to 11 a.m had given to hand over the nominations and time period from 9 a.m to 11.30 a.m had been allocated to submit objections for the nominations .Two objections submitted against two candidates had not been accepted by the Election commission as they were not in conformity with the regulations of Election commission act it has been announced .
Candidates representing 19 Registered Political Parties ,19 Independent Groups and 03 Other political parties had deposited money earlier for the election .
Three main candidates contesting for the election Sajith premadasa of United National Party ,Anura Kumara Dissansyaka of Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna and Gotabaya Rajapaksha of Podu jana peramuna were among those handed over nominations for the presidential election today .
A special security plan has been implemented in and around rhe National Election Commission premises due to the handing over of nominations .

Eighteen Bus Passanferz Had Been Injured Due To A Bus Collision
Eighteen Bus passangers had been
injured seven of them critically and hospitalized after two buses colliding with each other at Kananke -Kudake junction in Galle -Deniyaya main road today (07).
The injured had been admitted to Imaduwa District Hospital and seven critically injured persons including a school boy had been transferred to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for further treatment .
The incident occurred when a ceylon Transport Board (CTB) bus travelling from Galle to Akuressa had collided with a private bus travelling from Akuressa to Galle it has been revealed .

Around 3500 Females And 50.Males Identified With Breast Cancer Annually
Around 3500 females and 50 males
suffering from Breast Cancer had been detected annually in Sri Lanka according to National Cancer Control Programme .
Females with Breast Cancer are being identified by a Mammo Gramme test and Males with the disease identified by a Scan the Programme has stressed .
Addressing a special Press Briefing held at Health Promotions Bureau in Colombo last friday morning (04) on Breast Cancer Consultant Surgeon Dr .S Mahaliyana attached to Kurunagala Teaching Hospital has stated that Western type diet ,Obesity ,Consuming Alcohol and Smoking are the main risk factors which caused Breast Cancer .
Early detection helps to cure the disease and if there's a suspicion every female over 20 years are being advised to undergo a Mammo.Gram test once in three years to check on Breast Cancer he has revealed .
