Two Disable Soldiers Begun Fast To Death Campaign
Two disable soldiers who are involved
in a protest campaign in front of Colombo Fort Railway station had begun a fast to death campaign few hours ago refusing to accept the life time pension scheme approved by Cabinet today (24).
The two disable soldiers who had begun the fast to death campaign demanding to prepare the new pension scheme which approved by the Cabinet as eligible to pay the pension to their wives or a close relative if the disabled soldiers dies .

All Disable Soldiers To Receive A New Life Time Pension
Cabinet has today (24)approved a
proposal to pay all retired disable soldiers belongs to Tri forces ,Police and Special Task Force (STF) a life time pension which equals to the last salary they have received during their service.
Accordingly this new pension scheme will be replaced the current pension they are receiving Minister of Finance who had submitted the proposal to the Cabinet has stressed.
All disabled soldiers will be entitled to this pension scheme which includes all allownaces they have received during work in their life time .
