Landslide Warnings Issued To Five Districts

National Building Research

Organization (NBRO )has issued Landslide warnings today (23) to five Districts in the islsnd due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing  in those Districts.

Accordingly NBRO Issued Landslide warnings to Kaluthara,Kegalle, Galle ,Matara and Ratnapura Districts.
Several Divisional Secretariets of these Districts are at risk.of landslides it has bean  announced

since 2015 politicians like Presidential Candidate of the Podu Jana Peramuna  Gotabaya Rajapakshe ,Mahinda Rajapakshe ,Basil Rajapakshe and Wimal Weerawansha should have been in prison at this time according to Uva Provincial Councillor of Leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (IVP)Samantha Vidyaratna.

At present Gotabaya Rajapakshe has become a powerless person he has stressed at Badulla today  (23).

Due to the heavy continuous showers

prevailing in since this morning (23)to evening many roads in Colombo have experienced severe traffic congestion this evening .

Accordingly Dematagoda,Baseline Road ,Stace Road , Borella, Kosgashandiya ,and Orugodawatte junction have experienced  long traffic  .

Water Levels Of Four Rivers Reached It's Spill Levels

Water levels of Nilwala ,Kalu ,GIn and Kelani Rivers have reached  spill level  Due to the heavy showers prevailing in according to the Disaster Management Center .

As a result  a warning has been issued by the center to people living in surrounding areas of the four rivers to  be vigilant  over Possible floods .

If necessary people can  evacuate  from major flooding areas Disaster Management Center has stressed.
