A Female Was Killed After Colliding With A Train
A 29 year old female was killed on the
spot after colliding with a Train travelling from Mount Lavinia to Colombo near the Wellawatta Train station this morning (14).
The deceased was a resident of damminna ,Pubudugama area and
Her body had been sent to Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for the post Mortem .

Twenty Pilgrims Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Bus -Three Wheeler Collision
Twenty pilgrims have been injured four
of them critically and hospitalized after the Bus they were travelling in colliding with a Three Wheeler at Sembatta area in Mundalama few hours ago it has been revealed.
The injured have been admitted to Puttalam Base Hospital for teatment.
The incident occurred when a Bus carrying pilgrims to Thalawila church returning to Gampaha. The Bus had arrived at Thalawila church last night (13)and the incident occurred when the Bus attempted to overtake a Motorcycle on the way Gampaha and as a result it collided with the Three Wheeler arrived in from opposite side according to reports .Bus was toppled over the road after Collision it has been reported .
The injured are residents of Naththandiya ,Divulapitiya ,Negambo, Walahapitiya areas.

Sri Lanka Freedom Party Has Expelled Five National List MP's From The Party
Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP)has
decided to expel five of it's National List MP's from the party over attending the National Convention of Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna by violating the Party Constitution according to the SLFP Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekare.
Accordingly SLFP National List MP's A.H.M Fowzie ,Lakshman Yapa Abeywardana, S.B Dissanayake, Dilan Perera and WijIth Wijemuni Soyza will be expelled from.the party and they will be served with letters within next two to three days regarding the decision SLFP Secretary has stated.
This decision has been taken after considering the Show Cause letters submitted by the five MP's accordance to the request of the party.
