Two patients have died and condition of eighteen others
Became worst during a programme held at Ruwan weli Central Collage Grounds in Horowpathana, Anuradhapura District to cure illnesseses through spiritual Healing yesterday(08).
Two persons have died on admission to the Horowpathana Hospital after becoming critical during the progtamme according to reports.
However Degoda Kumara who had conducted the programme has issued a video to the social media saying no such incident has occurred during the programme.
had been drowned whilst bathing in a canal carrying water to Ibbankaduwa Wewa (River )to Ranwa Wewa (River )at Lakshapol area ,Galkiriagama today (08).
The deceased had been identified as 27 and 30 year old residents of Galkiriagama area .
Their bodies had been sent to Dambulla Base Hospital for the post Mortem .
Seventeen Persons including twelve females had been injured and hospitalized due to a Elephant rampage taken place at the 119th Kotte Raja Maha Temple Procession held last night (07) in Kotte Raja Maha Temple road .
The injured had been admitted to the Colombo National, Kalubowila Teaching and Jayawardanapura Hospitals for treatment.
The incident occurred when one of Elephants participated in the procession was disturbed and ran a mok .
Due to the disturbed Elephant crowd gathered there to witness the procession too got disturbed and ran a mok it has been revealed .At that time another Elephant too got disturbed and ran amok .
Due to the incident "Gajanayaka Nilame "who was in charge of the Elephants of the procession and on one of his Elephants who got disturbed too fallen down it has been revealed.
The disturbed Elephant had stopped near the 'Kotte Raja ' Elephant who carried the Sacred Relics of Lord BUDDHA in the procession and calmed down according to reports.
However later the procession was conducted in peaceful manner .
