Navy Have Arrested Five Locals Over Illegal Fishing Activities
Sri Lanka Navy have arrested five local fishermen who had engaged in illegal fishing activities by using illegal fishing nets near the sea area of Kokilai in North this morning (07) during a search operation carried out .
During the search operation Navy Personal attached to the Eastern Naval Command had taken into custody a 360 feet long illegal fishing net ,a Dinghi Boat which the five suspects have used for fishing activities and several other fishing equipment in possession of the suspects .The suspects who are residents of Pulmudai area and fishing equipment had been handed over to the Assistant Fisheries Director's office in Mulathivu for further investigations .

A Person Was Arrested Whilst Transporting A Stock Of Waste Tea
Special Police Task Force Personal (STF)attached to Aluthgama Camp have arrested a person whilst transporting 3076 Kilo Grammes of Waste Tea by a Lorry near the Aluthgama Police Station today (07).
The stock of Waste Tea had stored in 95 bags and a fake license provided to the suspect to transport Waste Tea had been also recovered by the STF Personal .
The suspect is due to be produced before the Court .
