Immigration And Emigration Officials Have Arrested 44 Indian Nationals
Immigration And Emigration Department Officials have today (05) arrested 44 Indian Nationals who had arrived in Sri Lanka with Tourist Visas and worked at a Construction Site in Colpetty .
The group of Indian Nationals of the ages 25-50 had arrived in Sri Lanka few years back and stayed in the country illegally it has been revealed .
Immigration and Emigration Department officials are due to send the suspects to the Mirihana Detention center after recording statements from them.

Twenty Four Estate Workers Had Injured Due To A Wasp Attack -Four Of The Injured Are In Critical Condition
Twenty Four Estate Workers including twenty one Females and Three Males attached to Tea Estate in Dimbula ,Dimbulapathana Police Division had been injured due to a Wasp attack and admitted to the Lindula Government Provincial Hospital this evening (05)
The condition of the four of the injured persons is critical it has been reported.Three Workers had left the hospital after receiving OPD Treatment and Twenty one are being currently treated at the Hospital .

A Fire Is Spreading In A Reserve In Attampitiya
Around 50 acres of land had been
destroyed as a result of a sudden fire erupted at a forest cultivation in Panan gala, Attampitiya ,Bandarawela this morning (05)according to the Disaster Management Center .
The fire is still spreading and Airforce /Army personal.along with Disaster relief groups are being involved in dousing the fire.

Heavy Traffic Gongestion Occured In Colombo Yesterday (04)due To Protest Marches
Heavy Traffic had prevailed in many
areas in Colombo last noon (04) as a result of four protest Marches held in Colombo demanding solutions for their service demands.
Accordingly roads from Baseline towards Borella cemetery junction and Narahenpita had been blocked due to a protest march conducted by the Government Development Officers Union.
Later they have discussed with officials of Ministry of Home Affairs regarding their demands.
A heavy traffic prevailed in and around Independence Square yesterday noon as the officers attached to Government Executive Officers Union had protested in front of Ministey of public Administration .
Lotus roundabout was closed down from Galle Face entry road as a result of the Joint protest march conducted by Unemplayed Graduates Union and External Degree Protection Alliance.
Inter University Students Federation had conducted a protest march in Galle Road last noon and handed over a letter to Presidential Secretariet regarding several demands imcluding abolishing private University Act.
