Three Persons Along With Nine Thousand Liters Of Artificial Toddy Taken In To Custody In Marawila
Excise Department officials have today
(27)taken in to custody around 9000 Liters of Artificial Toddy along with three Persons who had disturbed the search operation of officials at Thal Vila and Muhudukatuwa areas in Marawila.
The officials have also taken in to custody a large number of Barrels and Tanks which utilised to store Toddy from the site .
The estimated value of the Artificial Toddy taken in to custody is around Rs.1.2 million it has been revealed .
The Three suspects are due to be produced before Marawila Magistrate Court on 04th of September.

AG Filed Indictments Against Former Chief JMO In Colombo Over Destroying Evidence Of Thajudeen s Murder

had today (27 ) filed indictments at Colombo High Court against Former Chief Judicial Medical Officer(JMO) in Colombo Dr.Ananda Samarasekare over destroying an important evidence related to the murder of former Rugger player Wasim Thajudeen .
The indictments against Dr.Samarasekare had been handed over before the Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne .
Afterwards Colombo High Court Judge had released Dr.Samarasekare on two surety bails of Rs. One million each and a cash bail of Rs.25,000 .
The lawyer appear before Dr.Samarasekare had informed the Court that he is expecting to submit an objection against the case filed against his client .
