Two females had been injured and hospitalized after a soil mound along with a huge rock had fallen over to two houses located in "Mayfield "Estate at Kotgala in Dimbula Police Division this noon (12) . The injured had been admitted to Dikoya Base Hospital .The incident occurred when the two females were in the kitchen of their houses .Two kitchens had severely damaged due to the incident according to Dimbula Police .
Two line houses at the " Ottery "Estate in Hatton-Dikoya area had been damaged after a soil mound collapsed over the line houses of the estate this morning (12) amidst heavy showers prevailed in the area .All the household items had been destroyed due to t he incident . No casualties had been reported and two families lived in the damaged houses have been displaced and moved to their relatives houses as a result it has been reported.
Sri kanka Nvay Personal along with Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials have arrested three persons with more than 30 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in their possession at Kankasanthurai area today (12). The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs. 25 million it has been revealed.

Water level of Wimalasirendra Reservoir too reaching spill level and the water level of Kelaniya River is on the rise as a result of opening sluice gates of reservoirs in Central hills The Center has stated.
The Water level of reservoirs had reached spill level as a result of heavy showers experienced in Western slope areas of Central hills today .
