Thirteen Fishermen Had Been Arrested Over Fishing In Colombo Harbor Entry Sea Area

Thirteen fishermen have been arrested
by the Sri LAnka Navy along with Colombo Harbour Police over involved in fishing activities at Colombo Harbour entry sea area this morning  (06).

Three boats used by the fishermen for fishing activities had taken into custody by the Police and Navy

The Colombo Harbour Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.

Accordance to a international.  law fishing in Harbour entry sea area has been banned as it will affect the  movement of ships .  

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Road Accident

A 41 year old Motorcyclist was killed
after the Motorcycle he was riding in colliding with a cab travelling from Habarana to Minneriya area near the 32 nd Mile post at Minneriya -Habarana main road this morning  (06).

Habarana Police have arrested the Cab driver over the incident and he is due to be produced before the Hingurakgoda court .

A Stock Of Kerala Cannabis Recovered From North

Navy officers attached to the Northern
Naval Command and Officers attached to the Police Narcotic Bureau in Jaffna have  recovered a suspicious parcel today (06)contains 31.5 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis left in  the middle of the road during a joint search mission carried out  at Kodkamam area in ChavakachcherI .

The suspicious parcel that recovered contains fifteen small parcels with the  stock of Kerala Cannabis it has been revealed.

Due to the continuous raids carried out by Navy and Police Narcotic Bureau on narcotics the owners of the parcel believed to have left the parcel and fled away from the area the Police have stated.

The parcel was handed over to Kodkamam Police for further investigations .  

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasimghe Says He Hadn't Received Any Information On Easter Sunday Attacks Prior To The Attacks

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe
has stated today (06) that neither he nor his security personal were aware on the Easter Sunday attacks prior to to the attacks as he hadn't received any Intelligence report on it .

Giving evidence before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter Sunday attacks this evening Premier Wikramasinghe has stressed that last year An information received that a group of people here supporting ISIS Terrorists during the National security council meeting.At that time informed the intelligence officials to probe on that and afterwards especially after the Constitutional  coup in last October he nor state Minister of Defence were invited for the security council meetings .

"Was not aware that  those who have supported ISIS involved in Terrorist activities Premier has further stated. Even IGP Jayasundara was not invited the Securry Council meetings lately he has pointed out .

Prime Minister has also accepted  before the committee  that not informing him as the Prime Minister  on the intelligence reports of the Easter Sunday attacks prior to it is a serious situation .

Before the Premier Wikramasinghe Former Law and Order Ministers Sagala  Ratnayake and Ranjith Madduma Bandara and present State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardane had given evidence before the committee meeting held at Parliamentary Complex. 

USA Should Look At Its Own Security Before Looking At Sri Lanka -Minister John Amarathunga

USA should  look at its own security situation before looking at Security situation in Sri Lanka Minister Of Tourism Development ,Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs John Amarathunga has stressed regarding the statement issued recently by US Embassy in Colombo regarding concerning  about security situation  here .

Addressing the media after a function at BMICH Colombo yesterday  (05) Minister Amarathunga has stated that the US Embassy s statement was not relevent to Sri Lanka .

Sri Lankan government has ensured security of the ongoing historical Esala  Procession and masses in Christian churches at present following the Easter Sunday attacks he has said .

However public still mostly do not like gatherings after the attacks Minister has pointed out.
