Central Enviornment Authority Requested Customs To Send Back 98 Imported Containers Containing Used Metresses As It's Harmful For The Enviornment

Central Enviornment Authority had
today (10)instructed the Harbor Customs to send back the 98 containers containing A Stock of used metresses in Garbage form illegally imported to Sri Lanka from England .

The officials of the Central Enviornmental Authority had went to Colombo Harbour today  (10) and informed the Customs to send back the  stock of containers as the used Metresses can be harmful for the Enviornment.

Although used Metresses can be imported to the country, importing of used metresses in Garbage form is illegal according to the Authority. 

The company imported these containers has informed the harbour  Customs regarding the importing of used metresses to the country but didn't mention these metresses are in Garbage form it has been revealed.

Prices Of Petrol And Diesel To Be Gone Down From Tonight (10)

Prices of Petrol and Diesel are 
scheduled to be reduced with effect from midnight tonight  (10)according to Ministry of Finance.

Accordingly The Price Formula committee which met today had decided to reduce a Liter of Octane -92 Petrol by Rs.2 A Liter of Octane -95 Petrol and Super Diesel by Rs.5 each due to falling of Crude oil prices Prices  in the world market .However the price of Auto Diesel will remain unchanged.

The price of Crude Oil barrel.which stands as US Dollars 74 in June now dropped to US Dollars 65 per Barral according to Ministry.

Tenth of Every month Price Formula committee is meeting to revise the prices of Fuel  based on World market prices .

President Had Appointed A Six Member Advisory Board On National Security

presidents house colombo සඳහා පින්තුර ප්‍රතිඵලPresident Maithripala Sirisena had appointed a six member National professional Advisory Board for National Security headed by Dr.Sarath Amunugama to strengthen the programme underway to ensure national security according to the Presidents Media Unit.
