Cabinet Approved A Cabinet Paper To Distribute Computer Tablets Among Advanced Level Students
Cabinet has approved a proposal
submitted to the Cabinet by Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam to distribute Computer tablets among all G.C.E Advanced Level students and their teachers in Government Schools .
Under the first phase of this project 100,000 Computer Tablets will be distributed among Advanced Level students and their teachers In All National Schools of the country according to Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam. Afterwards Computer tablets will be distributed among rest of the Advanced Level students Minister has stressed .
A special training regarding operating of the tabs is scheduled to be provided to recipients Minister has stated
President Maithripala Sirisena has earlier opposed this project earlier and due to this Government has decided idea to delay providing the tablets. .

A Businessmen Was Shot And Killed In Kelaniya
A Businessman Was shot and killed by
two unidentified Gunmen arrived in from a Motorcycle at Lunnangoda area ,Kelaniya this evening (25).
The two gunmen had entered the business place of the deceased businessmen and shot him according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .After the gun shooting incident the suspect had fled away from the scene SP Gunasekare has stressed.
The cause behind the incident has not yet been revealed .

A 24 Hour Massive Water Cut To Be Implemented In Many Areas Of Western Province Tomorrow(26)- Can People Survive Without Water ?
This announcement is regarding the another local record water cut scheduled to be implemented by National Water supplies and drainage Board in several areas in Western Province including Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, Rukmalgama, Palanwatte,Maththegoda,Homagama,Meepe and Padukka areas from 9 a.m tomorrow until 9 a.m following day (27).This day long water cut which surely put people into an inconvenient position is due to be implemented three days after the 15 hour long water cut implemented in several areas by the Water board.
Sri Lanka is an island surrounded by sea and failure to supply water continuously to the public in a such an environment shows the disability of the authorities according to many in the society .
Sri Lankans are paying a monthly Water bill for getting water from the Water Board,However authorities still fails to deliver goods what people are being paid for .
