Veteran Sri Lankan Songstress Indrani Senaratne Has Passed Away

Veteran Sri Lankan songstress Indrani Senaratne (Wije Bandara has passed away this evening (23)whilst receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital .
She was 82 years old at the time of her death .Born on 15th of July 1936 Late Indrani Senaratne had make her debut in singing from Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation then Radio Ceylon.

She sang many hit songs including 'SUdu Sanda Eliye",'Wesak Kakulu" ,AdaraI Man ","Handapane Mal piPuna ","Me wage Handa Payu","Rathu pata mal","Gaya GeethaYan game ", and "Budu Samine .

She sang most of her duet songs with her late husband Veteran Singer and Musical Director Sisira Senaratne .The Late Songstress who became first local Female singer who sang for child characters as well as female heroines in Sinhala Films due to her unique voice had contributed for many films through her songs including "Rekhawa","Handapane "and "SUdu Sande Kalu wala ".

Police Have Arrested a female Sex Worker And Another Person During A Raid At A Brothel House

Mount Lavinia Police have yesterday 

(21)raided a Brothel House maintained on the pretext of an Ayurveda massage center (SPA)and arrested a female sex worker and the Manager of the Brothal  House at Mount Lavinia area  .

The female sex workers is a 27 year old resident of Thambuttegama area and the Manager is a 40 year old resident of Angoda area .

They are due to be produced before the court .

A Female Was Killed After Colliding With A Train

A 50 year old female had been killed

after colliding with a Train travelling from Kankasanthurai area to Mount Lavinia at Kodikamam-Eludumatrawal Railway crossing yesterday (21).

The deceased female who was a resident of Eludumatrawal area had faced the incident whilst crossing the railway crossing.
