Parliamentary Select Committee Probing Easter Sunday Attacks To Call Prime Minister ,State Security Minister And Former Law And Order Ministers To Give Evidence
Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter Sunday Attacks has decided to call Prime Mi
nister Ranil Wilramasinghe ,State Minister Of Defence Ruwan Wijewardane and two Former Law and Order Ministers Sagala Ratnayake and Ranjith Madduma Bandara to appear before the committee to give evidence regarding the Easter Attacks .
Accordingly Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has agreed to appear before the select committee it has been revealed.
Earlier it has been reported that The Parliamentary Select Committee members are also considering to request President Maithripala Sirisena who Is also the Minister of Defense to appear before the committee to give evidence .However it s not confirmed whether he agrees to appear as he had strongly condemned the activities of the select committee recently .
Since the first meeting of the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter Sunday attacks held on 22nd of May several former and current government officers had appeared before it and gave evidence .

State Of Emergancy Has Been Extended For Another Month
The State of Emergancy implemented
since 22nd of May has been extended for another Month with effect from today (22)in view of ensuring Public security and national security the Government has announced.
The Gazette Notification regarding this has been issued by the President Maithripala Sirisena today (22).
According to The Gazette Notification The State of Emergancy has been extended for a month period also to maintain Essential supplies and services need by the public .
since 22nd of May has been extended for another Month with effect from today (22)in view of ensuring Public security and national security the Government has announced.

Railway Unions To Launch One Day Strikes In Every Week From Coming Week

in ongoing Railway Strike had decided to launch one day train strike from midnight on Thursday until midnight on Friday every week beginning from next week if their demands are not met
Announcing their decision Railway trade unions have stressed that the ongoing Railway Strike launched from midnight Thursday will be ended midnight Tonight .
Engine Drivers, Station Masters ,Guides ,Controllers and Inspection Manager s attached to Sri Lanka Railways Department Had launched this 48 hour Island wide strike demanding the implementing of the Cabinet paper on removing salary anomalies of them .
