Minister Of Power Ravi Karunanayake, His Wife And Daughter To Appear before CID TO Give Evidence
Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne has today (20)ordered the Former Minister of Finance and current Minister of Power Ravi Karunanayake, His wife Melorin Nilanthi Karunanayake and their daughter One
la Karunanayake to appear before Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on 07 th of July and 26 th of June respectively to record statements over providing false evidence to Presidential Commission probed on Central Bank Bond Scam .
Accordingly Minister Karunanayake and his wife Melrin are being ordered to appear before CID on 07th of July and their Daughter Onela to appear
before CID on 26th of June.
Chief Magistrate has ordered them to appear before the CID after Police have informed the Magistrate they need to record statements from Minister and his family over providing false evidence to the Bond Commission.
The Investigations are currently underway regarding giving false evidence before Bond Commission by Minister Karunanayake and his family
The complaint made against Minister Karunanayake over providing false information to the Bond connission is scheduled to be taken up for hearing on 29th of August .

One Died, Six Injured Due To A Wasp Attaxk
A 69 year old Tea Eatate Worker has
died and six Estate Workers had been injured and hospitalized due to a Wasp attack occurred at Weschol Tea Estate in Nawalapitiya this morning (20).
Seven injured Estate Workers one of them critically had been admitted to Nawalapitiya Base Hospital for teatment where the critically injured had succumbed to his injuries .The deceased was a resident of Weschol Estate .
The incident occurred when the provoked wasps attackEd estate workers after their Wasp nest at a tree was attacked by a Hawk .
Nawalapitiya Police are conducting an inquiry on.the incident.

Attorney General Ordered Acting IGP TO Take Diciplimary Action Against Nine Higher Police Officers Over Not Preventing Easter Sunday Attacks

had ordered the Acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP)Chandana Wikramaratna to take a disciplinary action and conduct an inquiry over neglecting duties against Nine Higher Police officers including Three Deputy Inspector General's Of Police (DIG)over not preventing the Easter sunday attacks or minimised the effects of the attacks .
In a letter sent to the Acting IGP Attorney General Had ordered a disciplinary action against those Police officers as well as conduct a crime inquiry against them as recommended by the Vijitha Malalgoda committee appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena to probe on the Easter attacks .
Accordingly nine Higher Police officers including Three DIG's in charge in Colombo ,North Western Province and Special Security Division and six SP's (Superintendent of Police ),ASP's (Assistant Superintendent Of Police )And OIC's had been subjected to disciplinary action .
The copies of the letter sent to Acting IGP By Attorney General Had been forwarded to President's Secretary and Police Commission Chairman it has been revealed.
The report of Vijitha Malalgoda committee regarding Easter Sunday attacks had handed over to the president recently.
The Attorney General's order has been sent at the time the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter Sunday attacks proceeds it's inquiry .During the recent meetings of the Committee several officers given evidence before the committee had stressed they have informed president regarding the possible Easter Sunday attacks prior to the attacks .
