Health Ministry To Introduce Family Doctor Concept
Although there are around 1500
Suwadivi and Suwanari Centers located throughout the island to tests on non communicable diseases free of charge only 35 percent of local population so far accessed to these Centers according to Ministry of Health .
Therfore Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne is considering to introduce the family doctor concept for the public , A family doctor per 10,000 to 15,000 population Ministry has stressed.
Preventing Spreading Non communicable diseases Is the aim of introducing this Health Minister has stressed .

A Three Wheeler Driver Has Died Due To A Road Accident
A 31 year old Three Wheeler Driver has
died and another person had been InJured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a wall near the Benthota Dharmapala Collage at Elpitiya main road in Aluthgama this morning (16),
The injured had been admitted to the Benthota Hospital for teatment it has been revealed .
The incident occurred as a result of the driver had fallen a sleep whilst driving according to reports.

Twelve Buddhist Statues Recovered From A Canal
A group of workers involved in
construction work of a Canal road at Lake drive Rajagiriya have recovered 12 Buddhist Statues thrown in to the canal last evening (15)it has been reported .
After complaining on the incident Narahenpita Police have launched an investigations over the incident .
IththakAnde Saddathissa Thero attached to "Ravana Balaya" arrived at the scene has told that Buddhists will not do this kind of crime and someone had puprosely done this .
