A Female And Her Two Children Had Committed Suicide Near Colpetty Railway Station
A 32 year old Female and her 11 and 12
year old sons had committed suicide by jumping in front of a Train travelling from Colombo Fort to Galle near Colpetty Railway Station today (14 ).
Three of the deceased have died after colliding with the moving Train as a result it has been revealed.
A letter written in Tamil recovered from the hand bag of the deceased female by the station master revealed that the female Jenet DarshanI Ramayya had committed suicide with her childten as she had no money for survival .
The deceased female was a resident of Kotahena area it has been revealed. .

Sri Lanka To Receive Validation Certificate On Eliminating Mother To Child Transmission Of HIV And Syphilis
Sri Lanka is due to be received the
validation certificate on eliminating Mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS and Syphilis from the World Health Organizatuon (WHO) this year according to the Sexually transmitted Diseases(STD) /National AIDS Campaign.
A high level World Health Organization team of experts is due to visit Sri Lanka this August to inspect the Sri Lanka's achievement on eliminating Mother to child transmission of HIV and Syphilis Virologist attached to the campaign Dr.G.Weeeasinghe has stated during a media Seminar held at Health Promotions Bureau today (14)in this regard.
All pregnant mothers here are being Tested for HIV/Aids in view of preventing Mother to child transmission of the disease he has stressed.
Since 2011 HIV Positive mothers who had been treated in STD Campaign clinics given birth to children without transmitting the virus to their children it has been revealed.
