President Maithripala Sirisena To Withdraw From President's Race ?

President Maithripala Sirisena has told
that he will not contest the forthcoming Presidential Election after a Cabinet meeting held in Parliament yesterday  (04) the "VeeraKesari' Tamil newspaper has reported.

However during his visit to India recently President Has Told the Indian Media he is not in hurry to annonce his interest to contest the Presidential Election as other parties not yet been announced  their candidates .

Resigned Muslim Ministers Not Handed Over Their Resignation Letters To Presidential Secretariet

None of the Nine Muslim Cabinet ,State
And Deputy Minister's who had resigned from their Portfolios on Monday (03)has handEd over their resignation letters to Presidential Secretariet and they are still using the official vehicles and personal staff entitled to their Ministries it has been revealed .

However all these Muslim Ministers have told the media that they had handed over their resignation letters to the Prime Minister . However up to now these letters have not sent to the Presidential secretariat .

Many sections of the society had questioned that why these Resigned Muslim Ministers not handed  over their resignation letters to the Presidential Secretariet and not handed over their official vehicles and not withdrawing their personal staff from the Ministries.

A Proposal To Import A Bullet Proof Vehicle For Opposotion Leader Rejected By The President

A proposal to import a bullet proof
Vehicle for the opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapakshe had been rejected by President Maithripala Sirisena before submitting it to the Cabinet  during the Cabinet Meeting held yesterday  (04)it has been reported .

President Sirisena has stated that as Opposition Leader have three Bullet proof Vehicles already there's no need for another one according to sources .

Due to this The proposal was not submitted to the Cabinet for discussion. 

Former Southern Province Chief Minister Shan Wijelal Silva Taken Oath As New Eastern Province Governor

The former Chief Minister of Southern
Provincial Council Shan Wijeylal Silva had taken oath as the new Eastern Province Governor this noon (05) before President Maithripala Sirisena at President's House in Colombo .

The New Eastern Province Governor held three terms of office as the Chief Minister of Southern Provincial Council until it had been dissolved last April.Shan Wijeylal Silva is the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Organizer in Ambalangoda area as well.

He had been appointed to the Post of Eastern Province Governor following the resignation of former Governor H.L
A.M Hisbulla.
