Prime Minister Had Requested Foreign Ambassadors To Lift The Travel Ban Imposed Against Sri Lanka As Security Has Been Ensured

had requested the Foreign Ambassadors and High Commissioners in the country to lift the Travel Ban imposed Against Sri Lanka by their respective governments following the Easter Sunday bombings as security in the country has been already assured and life has return to normalcy during a meeting held in Colombo today (24)..
During the Meeting Prime Minister Wikramasinghe has briefed the Foreign Ambassadors and High Commissioners on the security situation of the country and the progress of ongoing investigations regarding the Easter Sunday attacks.

Speaker Fixed Two Dates To Hold The Debate On No Confidence Motion Against Minister Baduideen

has today (23)announced in Parliament that 18th and 19th of June as the dates which the no confidence motion submitted against Minister Rishad Baduideen taken in to debate .
However Joint Opposition Group has opposed the naming of those dates to hold the debate and stated the party leaders meeting held to fix a date for the debate has been ended without an agreement.
Meanwhile A 12 member parliamentary select committee has been appointed to probe on the charges levelled against Minister Baduideen headed by Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri. Speaker Jayasuriya has today informed the Parliament on the members of this committee.
