Court Issued Summons To 08 Copper Factory Workers to Re- Appear Before Court

Colombo Magistrate Court has today 
(22)issued summons to 08 suspects attached to Copper factory in Wellampitiya owned by one of the Suicide Bombers carried out Easter Sunday attacks ,who had been arrested and released on bail earlier to re- appear before the court on 27 th of May .
The 08 suspects who had been involved in making bombs used for Easter Sunday attacks had been released on bail by the Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage on 05 th may as the Police Constable appeared with the suspects not able to provide required proof to confirm the suspects were responsible for Easter Sunday attacks.

One suspect out of the 09 suspects arrested over the bomb issue had been remanded as he was not able to fulfill bail requirements.

Court has issued summons to the suspects to reappear before court after considering the notion filed by Wellampitiya Police requesting the suspects to be produced before court to commence the investigations against the suspects.

Wellampitiya Police OIC Had Been Transferred To Galle

Wellampitiya Police OIC Chief Inspector
G.S Hewawithana has been transferred to Galle Police division with immediate effect on approval of National Police Commission over his failure to provide necessary proof to Remand 09 workers attached to Copper factory in Wellampitiya owned by one of the Suicide bombers of Easter Sunday attacks.

The transfer had been implemented as a service requirement according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .

Wellampitiya Police OIC was charged over allowing Colombo Additonal Magistrate to release the 09 suspected workers arrested from Copper factory which used to made bombs  utilised for Easter Sunday bombings .

As the OIC Had sent an inexperienced Police Constable with the suspects and allow the suspecTs to he freed on bail Police Headquarters had launched an investigations over the incident. Wellampitiya OIC was transferred as a result of the ongoing inquiry it has been revealed .

President Advised Security Forces Not To Block Roads When VIP.Vehicles Moving On

President Maithripala Sirisena had
instructed the security forces not to to close the roads when VIP Vehicles moving on  as it caused inconvenience for the public according to the Presidential Media Division .

President  Sirisena had paid attention on this during the Cabinet briefing held yesterday (21) it has been revealed .

During last few days prior to Vesak amd after roads in Kolonnawa, Near NELUM Pokuna Theater and Colpetty were blocked by polce to allow VIP Vehicles to move on first time since a decade it has been reported.

To protest on this move motorists in Colombo had press Hornes in their vehicles in Colombo road  early this week .

Polce Have Arrested Five Persons With Heroin

Police have arrested five persons with
more than 14 grammes of Heroin in possession at Meethotamulla,Weera
gula and paliyafoda areas according to reports .

Accordingly a 41 year old person had been arrested with 4.900 Grammes of  Heroin in possession at MEETHOTAMULLA area and two arrested  wih five Grammes  of Heroin in Weeragula area .

Another two persons had been arrested in Paliyagoda with around 4 Grammes of Heroin in possession .
