Minor Staff Employee In Matale Hospital Had Been Arrested With 30 CD's Containing Thowheeth Jamaath activities
A minor staff employee attached to Matale Base Hospital had been arrested with around 30 CD's containing activities of Sri Lanka Thowheeth Jamaath Organization at a Hospital room by Hospital Police today (16).
Police have also taken into custody books with images of Prophet Mohommad and Jesus Christ in possession of the suspect it has been revealed.
Matale Police Headquarters are conducting an investigations over the incident.
A Fake Facebook Post Remanded Jayawardanapura University Student
Colombo Additional Magistrate has
yesterday (15)remanded a Jayawardanapura Univarsity student until 23 rd of May over sharing a fake post in Facebook saying the Flight enroute to China with President Maithripala Sirisena on board had met with an accident .
The student who is a resident of Piliyandala area had been produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Court yesterday and the counsel representing behalf of the student had requested the Additional Magistrate to release the student on bail as he had only shared a post in Facebook originally posted by someone else .
However after considering all the facts produced before the court ,Colombo Additional Magistrate has ordered to Remand the student by saying everyone should be mindful these days and should act responsibally .

A Jayawardanapura University Medical Faculty Student Has Been Remanded Over Making A Fake Bomb Scare
Police have yesterday (15)arrested a 27
year old third year Medical student attached to the Sri Jayawardanapura University Medical Faculty over giving a neusance call to the University Vice Chancellor saying that a series of bomb explosions due to occur in University premises .
The suspected student who. is Denzil weeeasuriya residing in Kandewatta road ,Nugegoda had been remanded by Nugegoda Additional Magistrate yesterday (15 )until 21st of May after being produced before the court .
The suspected student had given the neusance call to Jayawardanapura University Vice Chancellor who is in abroad and informed there's a series of planned bombings in university premises .
As soon as received the information Vice Chancellor had informed it to Chief security Officer of the University and the Mirihana Police .However polce along with Army and special task force personal had found nothing during a search operation carried out in University premises .
Later when checked the unidentified call receIved by the Vice Chancellor through a mobile company it has been revealed that call came from the medical student's phone.
However when the suspected student had been arrested by the police it has been revealed he has done the act to get postponed his forthcoming examination as he is not prepared for it .
As Country Is Peaceful ,No Curfew Today (16) -Police Media Spokesman
Due to the peaceful environment
prevailing throughout the island at present curfew will not be imposed in any part of the country today (16) according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .
The curfew imposed in North Western province and in Gampaha Police Division since last night was lifted at 4 a.m. this morning (16).Now a peaceful enviornment is prevailing in these areas as well it has been reported.
