35 Persons Arrested Over The Tense Situation In Minuwangoda Had Been Remanded

Minuwangoda Magistrate Kesara Samaradivakara had today (15) ordered to Remand 35 suspects arrested by the Security forces over creating a tense situation in Minuwangoda on Monday (13) until 22 nd and 29 th of May .

Accordingly 32 suspects out of the 35 arrested had been remanded until 22nd of May under the penal code and 03 suspects had been remanded until 29 th of May under the Terrorism Prevention Act  .The suspects had been produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate today .

Due to the tense situation several shops mosques  and houses had been damaged .According to reports around 60 shops in the srea had been burnt by the suspects. 

CI'D ARRESTED THE SUSPECT WHO HAD PREPARED THE SEATS OF A VAN TRANSPORTED KOCHCHIKADE SUICIDE BOMBER TO FIXED A BOMB

Criminal Investigations Department 
(CID) officers have arrested the most wanted suspect in connection with the Easter Sunday bombings who had purchased and prepared the seats of the Van which transported the Suicide Bomber exploded himself at Kochchikade Saint Anthony's Church ,at Kaththankudy area .

The suspect who had direct contacts with the kochchikade suicide bomber was arrested accordance to the image of his drawn by a CID Official it has been revealed. The image of the suspect drawn through the information on him provided by four eye witnesses Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare has stated  .

The suspect was responsible for removing seats of the Van to make room for fixing a bomb in the van transported Kochchikade suicide bomber. Later security forces have exploded the bomb under control.

Curfew Has Been Re- Imposed In Gampaha And North Western Province Until 4 A. M Tomorrow (16)

Police curfew has been imposed in Gampaha Police Division and North Western Province from 7 p.m. today (15) until 4 a.m tomorrow (16) according to Police Department .

Curfew imposed in island wide since 9 p.m last night  (14) has been lifted at 4 a.m this morning .

Meanwhile Sri Lanka Airforce has deployed a helicopter  to monitor riots and tense situation in relevent areas .

Joint Opposition Began Signing A No Confidence Motion Against Mimister Rishad Baduideen

Joint Opposition Group has began to
sign a no confidence motion against Minister of Commerce and Industries Rishad Baduideen over supporting Muslim extremists ,today (14).

Around 26 MP's have signed the No  confidence motion so far it has been revealed .However a final decision is due to be taken regarding the motion during a meeting of Joint Opposition scheduled to be held tomorrow  (15)it has been revealed.

Joint Opposotion MP Dallas Alahapperuma has put  the  first signature to the no confidence motion  it has been reported .

Independent MP Athuraliye Rathana thero  had first proposed the signing of no confidence motion against Minister Baduideen .
