Wellampitiya Police OIC Complaint To Judicial Services Commission That Hulftsdorf Court MagIstrate Responsible For Granting Bail To 09 Copper Factory Workers

Wellampitiya Police OIC Chief Inspector Gamini Hewawithana has made a complaint to Judicial Services Commission demanding a fair investigation in to allegations levelled against him over supporting 09 suspects attached to Copper Factory in Wellampitiya who were charged over supporting extremism to get bail from the court.

Police have nothing to do with the release of 09 suspects on bail and Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage of Court number 02 had ordered to release the suspects without considering written and verbal requests made by Wellampitiya Police opposing the granting of bail to the suspects Police OIC has stated in his complaint .

As a result Police Headquarters is currently being conducted an investigation against three Police officers attached to Wellampiriya Police OIC Have stated.

Infront of Wellampitiya Police station yesterday  (13)demanding the removal of Kolonnawa United National Party Organizer S.M Marikkar from the post and remove the Wellampitiya Police OIC Gamini Hewawithana over supporting the 09 suspects arrested from the Copper company belonging to one of the Easter Sunday bombers Insaf Ahmed to get bail from the court .

The Organizer of the protest the chairman of Sinhalaye  New National Organization Dan Priyasad has stated during the protest that Kolonnawa United National Party Organizer Marikkar is encouraging Terrorism and preventing enforcing the law against extremists .Therfore he should be removed from the orgagnizer  post he has stressed .

Meanwhile Organizer of the protest Dan Priyasad had been arrested by the police today.

Rishad Baduideen has today (14)stressed that a group of persons had attacked Jumma mosque at Minuwangoda  (Gampaha District )yesterday  (13) whilst security forces were in Duty .

If someone wants to take action against religious activists and extremists should be done so through legal action without creating communal violence in the country Minister Baduideen has said.

Government should have implemented law in such situations he has further stated.
