A Russian National Was Arrested Whilst Videoing Dewata Coastal Area

A 32 year old Russian National had

been arrested by the Galle Harbor Police today (09)over videoing Dewata Coastal area(Southern Province) by using a Drone Camera .

The arrested Russian National who is attached to a Telecommunication imstitute in Russia has arrived in Sri Lanka on 28th of April and scheduled to be departed on 11 th of May due to be produced before the court .

Videoing by using Drone cameras is being temporarily banned by the authorities due to the current security situation.

Another Stock.Of Sharp Objects Recovered From The Maligawatte Well

Around 06 knives and a stock of Air

Rifle cartridges had been recovered from the Well near a Muslim Mosque short distance away from Khettarama grounds in Maligawatte today (09) where a stock of swords and knives had been found yesterday (08).

Around 58 swords, 52 knives and Air Rifle and a small.Narcotic pack had been recovered from the Well yesterday .Today's stock had been recovered after removing all the water from the well.

A Female Announcer At Fort Railway Station Has Been Arrested Over Connection With Extremists

A Female announcer attached to the

Colombo Fort Railway station had been arrested at the Railway station last evening (08)by the Fort Police over keeping photographs of Thowheeth Jamaath Organization leader Mohommad Zahran Hashim in her mobile phone .

The suspected female was arrested accordance to an information provided to the police by a commuter.

Police have checked the house which the female is being resided and nothing suspicious has been recovered according to Police .
