Colombo Archbishop Requested Authorities To Check All Houses In Negambo

Malcolm Ranjith has today (06)requested the authorities to check all houses and premises in Negambo thoroughly during a press briefing held at Archbishops House in Colombo.
Through this can prevent incidents like the one occurred in Poruthota ,Negambo yesterday (05)in future he has stressed.
Meanwhile Police have lifted Police curfew imposed in Negambo and Kochchikade at 7 a.meeting this morning. No incidents had been reported in the area afterwards .

Money More than Rs.140 Million And Assets Worth Rs.07 Billion Belonging To Extremist Group Thowheeth Jamaath Had Been Recovered -Police

(CID) has recovered more than Rs.140 million in cash and assets worth around Rs.07 billion belonging to the banned Extremist group National Thowheeth Jamaath which carried out the Easter Sunday bombings according to Police Media Spokesman Superintendent Of Police (SP)Ruwan Gunasekare.
Steps are currently underway to ban the assets and Bank accounts belonging to the group he has stressed.
Meanwhile around 73 persons including 09 females have been arrested by the forces during last two weeks regarding the Easte Sunday bombings it has been revealed.Out of them 54 persons are being questioned by CID and 19 are being questioned by Terrorism Investigations Division .
