Van Used To Transport Bombs In Todays Attacks Taken Into Custody

The van suspected as used to transport
bombs for today's attacks in Colombo and outstations had been taken into custody along with it's driver by the police this evening(21).

The Van and the driver had been taken into custody at Ramakrishna Road in Wellawatta.

The Eiffel Tower Will Go Dark In Honor Of The victims

The Eiffel Tower will turn off it's lights starting at midnight tonight (21)to pay tribute to the victims of the attacks in Sri Lanka according to Eiffel Tower management .


In a Twitter message it says -

Ce soir, je m'éteindrai dès 00h00 pour rendre hommage aux victimes des attentats du Sri Lanka🇱🇰 Tonight, from 12:00 am, I will turn my lights off to pay tribute to the victims of the Sri Lanka attacks🇱🇰

Prior Information Provided Regarding Today's Attack Not Made Available To Me And The Cabinet -P.M Ranil Wikramasimghe

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe
has today (21)stressed that although information  regarding today's suicide bomb attack   has been given to authorities prior to the attack,auhorities not only not paid any attention for that ,Also not inform on that to him and the Cabinet .

Addressing a media briefing held at His official residence Temple Trees this evening ,Premier Wikramasimghe says the explosions carried out in Three churches ,Three star hotels and another hotel and a house today were suicife bomb attacks.In his speech premier has clearly indicated that today's attacks were suicide attacks which was not highlighted by the media earlier.

Few suspects had been already arrested regarding the explosions and even identified where they have resided in and foreign support they have received to carry out these attacks Prime Minister has stated.

"we should not allow terrorism to raise their heads again in our country .Will take necessary action against those who had involved in this incident" he has further said.

All State Universities Closed Until Further Notice-State Schools Closed For Two Days

All state Universities will be closed
down until further notice and all government schools will be closed for two days tomorrow(22) and day after (23)due to current developments of the country according to University Grants Commission (UGC)and Ministry Of Education .

According to UGC all university students ,The academic and non academic will be received holidays until further notice and those students who are in Hostels can stay there if they want.

Meanwhile the death toll due to eight explosions occurred today has exceeds 200 now according to sources.More than 400 persons have been injured some of them critically due to the incident.


Five Persons Including Three Police Officers Had Been Killed Due To Explosions At Dehiwala And Dematagoda

Five persons including three police
officers had been killed and two persons were injured and hospitalized due to the two explosions occurred at 'Tropical In"Hotel located in Dehiwala and a Housing scheme at Udyanaya road ,Dematagoda this noon(21).

Accordingly two persons had been killed and two others had been injured and admitted to Colombo South (Kalubowila)Teaching Hospital due to an explosion at Tropical in hhotel in Dehiwala behind S.S.Jayasinghe grounds.

In another explosion occurred at a housing scheme at Dematagoda three police officers including a Sub inspector had been killed .

Police have arrested two persons imcluding a  female regarding the explosions at Dehiwala and Dematagoda areas.

Meanwhile authorities have closed down the Dehiwala Zoo with immediate effect following the Dehiwala explosion.
