Another Two Explosions Occurred At Dehiwala And Dematagoda


Another Two explosions have  been reported from Dehiwala and Dematagoda areas this noon(21)according to Police.

Few have been injured and admitted to South Colombo (Kalubowila) Teaching Hospital due to a bomb explosion occurred at a small hotel located behind the S.S.Jayasinghe grounds near Dehiwala Zoo it has been revealed.


Another explosion has been reported from a Housing complex at Udyana road ,Dematagoda.However no details have been revealed regarding the casualties .

Meanwhile State Minister of Defense Ruwan Wijewardana has shortwhile ago said during a media briefing held in Colombo that Government is expecting to impose curfew today following the latest developments.




Veteran Culinary Art Expert Shantha Mayadunne Along With Her Eldest Daughter Had Been Killed Due To The Shangri-La Attack

One of the popular and veteran
culinary art experts of the country Shantha Mayadunne was also killed due to the disasterous   bomb attack in Shangri-La hotel this morning(21) it has  been reported.

She was attending a function held at the Hotel with her eldest daughter at the time of the incident .Her eldest daughter nisanga mayadunne was also killed due to the attack.

Around 136 Persons Had Been Killed And More Than 200 Injured Due To Six Blasts In Colombo And Two Other Places

Around 136 persons had been killed and more than 200 others had been injured and hospitalized following Bomb explosions occurred at six places including three churches and three star Hotels this morning(21).

The injured had been admitted to Colombo National and South Colombo Teaching Hospitals for treatment .Accordingly 62 persons had been killed due to the Bomb explosion at a church in Batticaloa,40  had been killed due to an explosions at Saint Anthoney"s church in Kochchikade,Cinnamon grand and Shangrila hotels ,and 27 had been killed due to an explosion in a church at Negambo .

Meanwhile police have advised the public to stay away from the explosion areas as a safety messure.

Still no one has  claimed  responsibility over these attacks.

UPDATED-Around 50 killed and More Than 150 Injured And Hospitalized Due To An Explosion In Saint Anthoney's Church In Kotahena

Around 50 persons have been killed more than 150 injured and
hospitalized due to an explosions occurred  in six places including three churches  mainly at famous Saint Anthony's church in Kotahena this morning(21).

The injured are currently being transferred to the accident service of the Colombo National Hospital and South Colombo(Kalubovila)Teaching Hospital.

Two explosions had been reported from A church at Katuwapitiya,Katana and A church in Batticaloa this morning.There are reports that few died due to the explosion at Batticaloa church .

Three bombs exploded at Kingsbury ,shangri-la and Cinnamon Grand  hotels in Colombo and another bomb at a lodge in Maradana area it has been reported.

Today is Easter Sunday and the cause behind the explosions and the group responsible for this have not yet been revealed.

A 44 Year Old Female Had Been Killed Due To A Road Accident

A 44 year old female had been killed
and two others have been injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in veering off the road and toppled over to aj precipice at Busalakanda area on Dambagalla-Madagama road on friday(19).

The injured including the Three wheeler driver had been admitted to the Sirigala Hospital in Monaeagala for treatment .

The incident occurred when the driver of the Three Wheeler travelling from Dambagalla to Busalakanda area not able to control the speed of the vehicle it has been revealed .

The deceased was identified as a resident  of Busalskanda area.
