Police Recovered 3.6 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin Hidden Near Southern Expressway

Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials
have recovered around 3.6 Kilo Grammes of Heroin hidden on Ambalangoda -Elpitiya road near Kurundugahahathapma road in Southern Expressway last night(18).

The haul of heroin recovered believes to be belonging to a major drug smuggler in Southern province who is conducting the narcotic trade through online according to Police Anti Narcotic Bureau.

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin recovered is more than Rs.30 million.

Police are conducting an investigations to arrest the drug smuggler who.is responsible for hiding the haul of Heroin near Southern Expressway . 

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To Motorcycle-Train Collision

A 43 year old Motorcyclist had been
killed on the spot after his Motorcycle colliding with a Train travelling from Chilaw to Colombo fort at an unprotective Railway crossing in Thudella,Ja-Ela area last evening(18).

The deceased who was a resident of Thudella,Ja-Ella area had faced this incident when attempting to cross the railway crossing it has been revealed.

it has been injured and hospitalized as he was aassaulted by the director of the IGP Command Information Division last noon (18) at the office of the information division in Mirihana it has been reported .

The injured OIC Chief Police Inspector S.A Jayathilake has been admitted to the Colombo South (Kalubowila)Teaching Hospital for treatment .

The head of the IGP Command Information Division Superintendent of Police (SP)Amith Gunaratne had assaulted the OIC of the Police Emergancy Call Unit Jayathilake over a personal dispute it has been revealed.

However SP Gunaratne has denied the assault charges.
